The 澳门新葡京博彩区 partners with private-sector employers to provide eligible work-study students with opportunities to work in a real-world environment in positions that align with the student’s field of study. Through the 私营部门勤工助学 (PWS) Program, eligible students work with partnering employers while 100% of the students’ wages ($15.33 hourly) are paid by federal financial aid and institutional funding.

合作 employers determine (1) the position(s) offered, (2) the number of positions they want to fill, (3) whether they want to subsidize the hourly pay rate (minimum $15.33), and (4) the number of hours a student will work per week (between 10 and 19). 雇主 receive reviewed student cover letter and resume to determine whether to offer an interview. 雇主 commit to a student’s employment per semester and may rehire the student for subsequent semesters, or may hire a new student each semester. 雇主 are required to accommodate students’ academic schedules and activities.

• Receive and consider student resumes and cover letters
• Interview candidates; Make job offers
• After hiring a student, pay per semester, 100% of any subsidized pay the employer has posted

• Promotes available positions to eligible students
• Refers students for employment consideration
• Conducts basic criminal background checks
• Manages HR matters and issues payroll
• Funds 100% of the student minimum wage through federal financial aid and institutional funds
